Going the Distance investigates the 'silent epidemic killer' - Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) - which mostly affects road accident victims.

The film closely follows 4 TBI survivors --- Kristen Collins who was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash at college, Jay Weller, a victim of road rage violence, 6-year old Ian who was left orphaned in a car crash and US marine corporal, Jason, who survived a roadside bomb explosion.

On their long path to recovery, they learn to walk, talk, and live again but they face massive emotional, physical and social challenges along the way. Will life ever be the same for them again? And will they be able to live out their dreams?
